Narrative:
Geralt is hired to investigate the disappearance of villagers and livestock. His search leads him to a cave marked with skulls, where he uncovers an underground arena. There, Nekkers have turned the tables on humans, forcing them into deadly fights. As Geralt explores the cave, he uncovers evidence of secret experiments involving these creatures sponsored by both Redanian and Nilfgaardian governments.
Level Intent:
The level design focuses on exploration and environmental storytelling. Players start at the cave entrance and explore distinct areas like the arena, a destroyed bridge, and a lab. Some sections have multiple pathways, encouraging exploration and offering rewards for those who look deeper. The layout supports both combat and puzzle-solving with vertical elements like rock climbing and hidden passages.
USP:
The unique selling point of this quest is its blend of mystery, politics and horror. The player is drawn into a dark conspiracy where Nekkers are not just simple monsters but tools for experimentation. The contrast between the eerie cave and the more structured lab and meeting room adds depth to the experience, making it more than just a monster hunt.
