My Roles & Responsibilities
Level Designer
  • Sketching
I initiated my level design process by creating sketches aligned with our game's mechanics.
Six sketches were pitched to the team and later re-implemented as blockouts for testing, all facilitated through collaborative work in Figma.
  • Blockouts
All blockouts where done in Unreal where an internal pipeline was set up to allow for quick testing.
I have worked on a modular system for debugging that managed to switch levels inside the build.
Frequent testing was done with blockouts and revealed problems with our metrics that required iteration.
  • Iteration
During the iteration phase, I have worked very close with level & environment artists to ensure the assets where in a presentable state and their metrics were correct.
Playtests were regularly conducted and organized by me to test the level functionality, the gaps between platforms and various level ingredients as well as their positioning on the map.
